Now I have a guild bank it's very easy to swap items between chars. One of my characters is an enchanter, he makes in-game items nice and magical.
To do this he needs to disenchant other magical stuff, stuff which is defunct, not better than what my characters are already using.
Magical stuff sells for alot more than the mundane, so this is the most non lucrative profession in the game. It will however be very worth it later on...
Some of my chars can make magical items quite easily.
These get put into the guild bank and my enchanter grabs em.
I have just disenchanted 30ish of the same item (supplied by another guild member.. THANK YOU!!!). I got 42 Soul Dust, 6 Greater Astral Essence, and 1 Large Glimmering Shard.
So, samey items have the same kinda stuff in them. Must make some kind of list of easiness to make vs stuff produced
Don't get me wrong, ALL of enchanting ingredients are very very usefull! And I certainly will use the stuff I got just now, however I'm thinking I need variety...
And def some lower level magical items to disenchant, as the stuff you get from those is kinda like the basic ingredient in most enchanting...

nuhuh, I don't see the attraction... Only just got myself a couple of macros!
srsly pureist about gaming, don't like any kind of cheating and regard the gold sellers as scum of the earth!-

Honestly, they are so useful. Not cheating, some of it is purely for the economic side of things. Auctioneer and enchantrix are two I use that I couldn't do without: Auctioneer lets you know how much things cost not just at the auction house but vendors too - useful for quest rewards you're not going to use - and enchantrix tells you what items are likely to disenchant into.
T-bag puts all of your bag space in one panel, and lets you search them by text, and lets you keep track of what you have in your bank, and also your alt's banks. Titan panel keeps track of a gazillion things but I mainly use it for gold and armour status.
I also use Atlas for instance maps, which I suppose is cheating. But none of the others I've mentioned are, in my opinion. Just enhancements!-

s just //lazy//! I like knowing vaguely how much things are worht at a vendor, and working out the odds of disenchant items... major dweeb that, but I'd be an ace game guide maker

Hm. I understand, but then I'm also saving 6k gold for flying stuff, and I need to make the money as quick as I can.

At least get T-bag, it's so useful. And I also use one called outfitter which changes your equipped items depending on certain situations. For example, when I get on my mount, it automatically equips my carrot on a stick trinket. When I get off, it swaps back. There's also a button called birthday suit for instant naked dancing. And more importantly there's another button that puts everything back on instantly too.
(Oh, and I despise the gold sellers too!)-

lazylazylazy!
why would I want to naked dance? In a game?-
- 16/12/2008 @ 02:33:55
Are you kidding? You've never been in the inn and stripped off to table dance?
My bank alt is a naked pink haired gnome. I sold his clothes. He dances on the stage at the auction house in SW while I sell stuff.-

Do you use add-ons for WoW? I can give you some advice if not.
