I like the video, but the song is just meh. The song sounds like a cross between One Vision by Queen and something by Weezer that I can't remember. I really am getting disenchanted with modern music: the lack of new ideas is hitting deeply.

I loved 60's 70's and 80's music but i think it went a bit pear shaped in the 90's, at the moment though i nthink there is some great stuf about.

Indeed there is some good stuff out there, but you have to dig pretty deep to find it. I thought the 90s was a fantastically inventive time, featuring as it did the relentless rise of techno and jungle and the reinvention of guitar-based rock music. Now, most inventiveness seems to be the mixing together of two older things. I was hoping for a revival of brilliant strangeness when Antony and the Johnsons won the Mercury prize a few years back, but it never happened.
