I just bought a digital camera. s 12 (12.1 but who's counting) megapixels, and over a hundred quid. IS significantly less than the camcorder I had my eye on so haven't blown holiday spending money

I do already have a camera.. is an advantix thing which my sister ~~gave~~ palmed off on me when she went digital. Have used it.... once. In many years.

This is my very own, chose it, read it's reviews, n will actually use, camera!
1st of it's kind!

*bouncing up and down with glee*

AND I remembered to get the right kind of sd card (hc whatever that is, I like micro sd cards, soooo cute!)

    Looks like you made a good choice to me. You should get some nice high quality pics with that. 2 cards is a good idea too, especially as the images at full quality from 12MP will be pretty large.

        8Mb, I think you'll find. If your memory card is 4Gb, that means you'll fit 500 pictures on a card. That sounds pretty good!

        Sorry, I misunderstood. If your cards are 8GB, that's fantastic! You could take an hour and a half of high quality video on one of those! (As long as your batteries last)

        no it IS a camera! but got instead of a camcorder... it made sense as would use camera alot more, camcorder would only really be for holiday purposes.

        Yup, I know it's a camera, but it takes high quality video as well as stills. On your 8Gb card you'll get a couple of thousand pictures or over 80 minutes of HQ video.

        will have to try it out before getting hopes up, vid quality on cameras in notoriously squiffy

        You might be surprised. Your camera has a decent lens, and the resolution is high, so there's no reason why the video shouldn't look good. At 30fps VGA, it should take pretty high quality videos. Mine does, and yours is better.
