So why did no-one else seem to grasp the Billion part of the meme? Everyone else managed to spend a couple of million a best in their question 4, I was the only one who actually realised that a billion is quite a few millions!
Pay off debts/mortgage: most people don't get over half a million there
Buy/build a house: ok so prices from a hundred thousand to roughly 20 million. I'm guessing that most people were thinking a couple of million tops.
Buy a car: half a million tops, unless you get your own designed, then you're into many millions!
Give some to family/friends: realistically a million each is plenty, and giving to all your family including your 3rd cousin who lives in Australia isn't gonna happen very often.
Holiday: unless you're gonna spend the next year sleeping on quail egg mattresses you aren't gonna make much of a dent here.
Holiday homes: as you aren't going to be spending alot of time here you aren't going to feel compelled to spend the same amount of money as you did on your 'family' home. A million tops.
At this point you'll still have at least 50 million left. poor you! And it's earning interest.
Give to charity: tricky. Which charity? How much? Is a lot simpler to set up your own charity, then you'll know how your money is benfiting, er, those you wish it to benefit! For instance, most charities spend money on wages, advertising, health and saftey... etc. Yours can be solely about getting aid to those in need, or buying large parts of rainforest and having it patrolled by people with guns to stave off poachers... you get the picture I'm sure. This can take up 1% to 80% of your remaining funds, you should def keep a few million just in case. But 1% minimim, otherwise you'll be wracked with guilt later on in life.
science counts as a charity
So ask yourself how much you'd really spend on all these, then work out how much you'd have left over. Impressive huh?! Now think and post of interesting things you could do with the remainder...
Pay off debts/mortgage: £1000
Buy/build a house: £20 million, v high tech mansion with basements galore!
Buy a car: 1/2 a million, Hy-Wire. "If you're important enough they'll wait."
Give some to family/friends: 3 million, blog lottery may take up remainder of funds after rest of list.
Holiday: £0 to £5000/year.
Total so far: £23,506,000
Give to charity: My island lab counts as charity as will be experimenting for the good of the planet, £10 million to buy island, and at least £40 million for underground facility including most equipment and staff, £16 Million on defenses and small navy. So, £66 Million here. (is only a small island.)
Remainder: £10,504,000= £8 million for blog lottery and rest to live on for rest of life.

I'm sorry, but this meme contains numbers and actually working with them, which is one of my many weak points. I think you may find juzzy is in the same boat, although just to prove he isn't he will get his accountant to knock something up for him.

My basic units for counting things normally go
Some
a couple
Several
Loads
Tons
A shitload
all of them.
