Right, those of you who have absolutely know idea why i've called this blog kenderspouch, see one of the earliest entries!
However if you like reading fantasy books, and epics, then you should definitely check out the origins of the Kender, which is the DragonLance series of books and role playing games, personally i have only read the books, and that's plenty!
I was only introduced to the books about 5 years ago, which as far as i'm concerned was about 10 years of missing out! The series has been going for many, many years, at least as long as i've been alive (25 years), and has produced over a hundred books. This is because the original writers, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, have shared their world with many other writers, most notably Richard A Knaark, who has produced some of the best books, including a much revered prequel: The Legend of Huma.
Basically if you like reading about dragons, knights and mages these are the books for you!
DragonLance books generally include a devilish mixture of humour and tears, and i've amassed a large collection of books on my very tight budget! They fill two shelves on my bookcases, with spillage!
They are very adictive, espacially since they tend to interact with each other, not in a crappy way, but in an extremely satisfying way, you might be introduced to a character in one series of books, and find out more about that character in another, by a completely different author.
If you're a fan of Larry Niven you'll know that alot of his books feature in the 'known space' universe. DragonLance is exactly like that, especially as the Man-Kzin Wars from niven's universe were written by different authors with Larry's occasional input.
You will not that i keep calling it DragonLance. This is because on earlier covers this is how the logo appears, nowadays they go with Dragonlance.
